“Don’t waste time – just do it, it’s your health”

Despite making efforts to manage his prediabetes, Peter Palmer was eventually diagnosed with type 2 diabetes 3 years ago.

“I was also told that I’d probably be on medication for the rest of my life. I started to do my own research as I thought there must be an alternative. I came across the Diabetes.co.uk website and it’s from there that I discovered the Low Carb Program”

Before joining, Peter had eaten what he assumed to be a ‘healthy diet,’ eating muesli for breakfast and a sandwich for lunch, for example.

“Something obviously wasn’t working; my weight had gone up to 108kg (17st) and I had a 42-inch waist.”

Since adopting a low carb lifestyle, he’s reduced his waist size from 42 to 36 inches and he now feels much healthier and fitter. He’s also achieved a HbA1c in the normal range.

“My HbA1c has gone down from 53 (7.0%) to 37 mmol/mol (5.5%). I’ve lost about 19kg (3st) in total.

“Don’t waste time – just do it, it’s your health. We know it works – it’s been proven. Look at people who have gone through the program and the success rate. I believe if it wasn’t for the Low Carb Program, I wouldn’t be where I am today.”
