Jenny Smith put her type 2 diabetes into remission

When Jenny Smith was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes she was reluctant to go on medication. Instead, she asked her doctor to give her a chance to change her readings on her own.

“I did my own research online and found the website. My nurse was good, but I wasn’t given much information. It was through my own research that I found low carb.”

Jenny was given dietary advice on how she could lose weight, but she didn’t find this very relevant, as she was more interested in how she could control her blood sugar levels. Through going low carb she’s seen some fantastic results.

“I’ve lost 19kg (3st) overall, which is a lot – I’m only 5’1. I put my type 2 diabetes into remission. I feel awake, I’m no longer getting a dip in the afternoon, my energy levels are more stable.”

Jenny’s motivation was to reduce her risk of complications, but now she thinks of low carb as not just a diet, but also a way of living.
