When Joyce was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes two years ago, she decided to research online for more information. She found the Low Carb Program through the Diabetes Digital Media website.

Joyce was surprised at how much white rice raised her blood sugars and said how she found it difficult to find a yoghurt that was low in carbs.
“My HbA1c wasn’t that high anyway, but it was around 55 mmol/mol (7.2%) at their highest and they’ve gone down to 44 mmol/mol (6.2%) now. All the information I find is positive, it’s about keeping yourself healthy – take out of it what you want.
