Low carb swaps

Foods such as rice and pasta are high in carbs so can cause your blood sugar levels to rise. This doesn’t mean that you have to miss out on your favourite meals however. These foods can be easily substituted with low carb alternatives.

Make it yourself: Finely chop cauliflower or blitz in a food processor and roast at 390°F/350°F fan (200°C/180°C fan) for 12 minutes.

Make it yourself: Use a peeler or spiraliser to create the courgetti then fry over a medium heat until tender
